  • Session 3 : Art of Biblical words

This illustrates the “encyclopedia” concept I described earlier. The instructor demonstrates how New Testament authors like John weren’t just writing in Greek, they were thinking within the Hebrew Bible’s conceptual framework, even when using Greek vocabulary. The word study of “dwelt” (skēnoō) in John 1:14…

    • Thank you very much l have linked it with what l have studied recently that there is an encyclopedia of production (an author) and an encyclopedia of Reception (of a reader). For a better understanding a reader should have a built in encyclopedia while observing the encyclopedia of production (considering an author).

    • Art of biblical words – session 2

In this session, I realized that reading the Bible is, at its core, a cross-cultural experience. It’s not just a book in my own language. It’s a translation of words born in an entirely different world, shaped by ancient Israel’s language, time, and culture. That gap isn’t a problem to hide

      I connected with the…

MODULE 2: SESSION 7: The Purpose of Light in Day 1

In the beginning God created the light and called it day and God created the light apart from the darkness. The separation of light from darkness had a purpose of creating the pattern of time where he called the light day and darkness marked as night.

        Finally we come to…

MODULE 2: SESSION 7: An Important Premise: The Inspiration of Scripture

It is very true that me and those in my context tend to view the spiritual and physical realms as very distinct. This affects my view of the inspiration of Scripture. The best way to allow to operate is by establishing a synergy or a…

MODULE 1: SESSION 6: The Genesis 1-11 Pattern Throughout the Scripture

I learnt something peculiar that the aim of analyzing the patterns in Genesis 1-11 is not simply to see the nice and pretty patterns but having a clear theological argument in connection to God’s purpose. The aim is to see God’s justice and mercy in tandem with…

        MODULE 1-SESSION 6: The Prophet to Come-Psalms 1 & 2

I have learnt something powerful about the hyperlink between Malachi 4 and Psalms 1 and 2.

Psalms 1 and 2 is actually the continuation of Malachi 4 where there was a promised in coming of the Elijah like Prophet. According to Psalms 1, there is a general…
