    • Great summary!

It is interesting how God used each of these groups in Jesus’ time, and the Essenes, to preserve very relevant documents for us as prrof of the authenticity of the scriptures.

      WHAT IS COUNSELING

      LESSON 7

      PRAYER IN COUNSELING

Prayer in counseling “God’s Way” involves praying with the Word of God because God counsels us by His Word. The Word of God is important in the life of a counselee and a counselor. This is because It’s through a humble praying heart that the Word of God goes to work,…

      • I agree with you, @mononoemilia

We must pray as we counsel, and what better way to pray than to pray the word of God! The word of God is the ultimate counsel, and we must understand God’s will in order to help the counselee.

        • Actually prayer in counselling is primordial to giving the right guide to the client who might really be in a mess yet not speaking the truth. Sometimes you need the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the truth so you give the right balm in Gilead. Tx

          • Great summary, Pastor Jones! I love the idea of the renewal of all things. This is great news for everyone who believes in Jesus. Dr. Steve refers to this as a cosmic reset, and it’s wonderful to imagine how things will go back to being perfect and flawless.

            • It is nothing short of a miracle that these scrolls were preserved for so long until the right time for the church to have them available. And how perfect was the timing as well! In an age where scholarly debates are raging, and so much in opposition to the veracity of the scriptures, these scrolls are the evidence of the Bible’s authenticity and origin.

one striking thing that moved me so much from this session is the importance of Christology. This propounds Christ’s role in understanding eschatology, and emphasized Christ resurrection and ascension as pivotal for the Christian’s hope.

Regeneration means to be born again.John 3. From this chapter we get two views- to he born of the water and of the spirit. There’s a general view that this involves physical and spiritual baptism. We baptized physically for the remission of our sins and in reality, its reflecting a spiritual bind…
