THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

In this particular chapter i have learnt a lot, but what has stood out for me the most, has been learning about the importance of systematic plan for reading the Bible, and the reading plans methods that one can use to read the Bible successfully.

Having a systematic plan for reading the Bible is important because it enables one to have a better and a clearer understanding of the Bible. One is also able to understand how the Bible fits in.

Some of the reading plans that one can use to read the Bible include;

-reading daily: the word of God is spiritual food that should be taken daily in order to be spiritually healthy, just as physical food is taken daily for physical health purposes.

-reading selectively: one needs to start by reading the simple truths of the word of God, which can be termed as milk, before going to the more difficult teachings, which can be termed as meat. This plan prevents confusion while reading the Bible

– reading prayerfully: it is important to ask for wisdom and understanding from God before reading His word. This prevents one from misinterpreting the scripture and ending up in confusion.

-reading systematically: the Bible should be read in an orderly manner for its content to be understood easily.
