• INTRODUCTION TO THE HEBREW BIBLE

MODULE 2: SESSION 9: What The Prophets Say About the Bible’s Origin

The Hebrew Bible was written by what is considered to be the minority group trying to criticize the people, Governments and/or Kings who were against God’s directives. Practically the Torah and the prophets passed from one generation to another, from Moses (also the prophet on the other hand) and other writers of the Torah, the prophets before exile and the prophets after exile. This is where we find an hyperlink between what is written by Prophet Isaiah and Jeremiah linked to what is spoken by prophet Zechariah linking back to former words. Practically, this changes my perception of the Hebrew Bible where l have a new understanding of reading the Bible as one text combining all messages into one word and that is it is always about “worshiping Yahweh”.
