HEAVEN AND EARTH
MODULE 6: SESSION 30: God Rests on the Seventh Day
The Hebrew words “seven” (sheva) and “complete/full” (sava) share the same consonants, linking the number seven to fullness and completion. On the seventh day of creation, God’s rest is described by two terms: shabbat (Gen. 2:2-3), meaning ceasing work, and nuakh (Exod. 20:11), implying settling or dwelling. When God rests, His glorious presence fills the Earth, and He takes up residence with humanity. This moment signifies the complete union of Heaven and Earth, where divine and human realms intertwine, marking creation’s fullness and God’s intimate presence within it.
