POWER PRINCIPLES.
Chapter 10: POWER PRINCIPLE FOUR: THE ANOINTING OF POWER.
To anoint means to apply oil to a person or thing. Annointing in old testament was in three kinds; ordinary, medical and sacred. Ordinary anointing was associated with personal grooming to make one smell good. Guests were anointed as a mark of respect and the dead were prepared for burial by anointing. Medical anointing was used to help the sick and wounded. Sacred anointing was for sacred or spiritual purposes and was used to dedicate things/persons to God. The purpose of anointing was to set them aside in special dedication to the service of God. The power in spiritual anointing is not in the oil itself, not in the person doing the anointing or the abilities of the recipient, but comes from the source, God the father. The purpose of the anointing is for service, responsibility, instruction, abiding, liberty and Joy. Christ means the anointed, Jesus means savior. Jesus Christ means He is the one anointed of God to be savior of the world. Jesus was anointed of God to die for the sins of the people. To receive the anointing, recognize the source, experience the new birth, read God’s word and pray, receive the Holy Ghost, do not focus on your inabilities and discover your specific anointing. Being anointed by God places you in the front line of spiritual warfare. God is your strength even in opposition. Be careful what you say about other anointed believers. Treat those anointed who are over you with respect. God takes the anointing of power very seriously.admin and Stephen Karwenji-
