One thing that has come out clear to me from the studies is that in order to understand and interpret clearly what is in the biblical texts such as Genesis 1, one must understand it as cross-cultural. The bible was written by people of a different culture and in a different environment. So to effectively understand and interpret the biblical texts one must agree to do the following:- a)be ready to have a different cross cultural experience or worldview b)must be ready to step outside of our controversial arguments of our modern culture c) we must be ready to read biblical texts such as Genesis 1 in its ancient context so that we can get a breakthrough in the true understanding of the text or Genesis 1.
