It is interesting to learn about the life of the people of Israel in Bible times prior to the time when they went to Egypt. They lived in tents and moved from one place to the other with their flock in search of fresh pasture and water.

After the exodus from Egypt the Israelites settled in their promised land of Canaan and the life of ordinary people followed a pattern that changed little through out the year. Activities done included craft, farming, fishing, carpentry, pottery, shepherding, leather work to mention but a few.
