The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit – Sessions 1 – 2
The two sessions has really impacted my knowledge and understanding about the Holy Spirit by full understanding that the Holy Spirit is a person who is third in the trinity and not just a power or force.
Most times have heard people talk and discuss the Holy Spirit in line and connection with signs, miracles, wonders, gifts, or power Etc., however, these sessions have helped me to understand in a deeper way that this Holy Spirit actually desires a personal interaction and relationship with me. Learning that I can lie and grieve the Holy Spirit made me appreciate the fact that my relationship with Him matters and should be better at all times. I am challenged to be more careful on how I live as a believer because the Holy Spirit walks with me, corrects me, helps me, and guides me and therefore; I should avoid grieving him and lying to him.
Secondly I was moved with the importance of me studying the Bible in a proper context and understanding the words rual and pneuma which means a spirit od breath or wind. Rual which describes the Spirit of God, the moving air or moving wind and also the human spirit. Pneuma also talked about the Holy Spirit or the human spirits or spiritual beings and the plural form refereeing to evil or unclean spirits.
This gave me a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit and broadened my understanding especially through the rual and pneuma teachings.
