Session 3 has taught me about the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. This is one of the most overlooked realities about the existence of the Holy Spirit.
In most cases I used to only concentrate on scriptures mentioned in the New Testament about the Holy Spirit without paying attention to the Old Testament but after this lesson I am drawn to a deep understanding of the Holy Spirit been present from and at creation.
This is so powerful as I have learnt that the presence of the Holy Spirit can be traced from as far as Genesis 1:2 where we see God’s spirit hovering on water.
It has encouraged my Spirit to discover that in the Old Testament the Spirit gave the likes of Joseph wisdom and allowed others to have creativity.
I am helped to understand that the Holy Spirit is a source of creation, a means of judgement, a path towards insight and revelations and also that He empowers for the prophetic activities
