VITAL ISSUES FOR COUNSELING

Counseling Gods way involves vital issues when counseling. A counselor must press on to know the Lord and not flee, hide, quit or being buried forever in doubt or perplexity. Counseling ministry is giving to someone, bearing in mind that we’re not sufficient of ourself. Our sufficiency is from God. It is important for counselors to also wait on the Lord because our expectations are being set on the Lord. Every counselor and christian are on the battlefield and in spiritual warfare all the time. Thus they must understand that the battle is the Lord’s and not ours. Counselors must run with endurance the race that is set before them by fixing their eyes on Jesus. Giving attention to Him and not looking at self, but receiving from Him, avoiding distractions.
