      Chapter Six: Principles of Interpretation

In this chapter I have learned importance of rightly dividing the word of truth or interpreting the word of God.

      • I like this principle that “Bible must always be interpreted according to it’s context, points to be considered must be who wrote the book?whom was the book directed to? what is being said? why is it being said? when was the book written?.”

        • Great summary! We cannot be true in our Bible interpretation if we do not first accept it as the authoritative word of God.

            • I have learnt something profound that ” the milk of the word are the basic truths of the word of God that are elementary whilst the meat of the word are deeper truths that are not easily understood, we are taught to desire and be obedient to basic truths of the word and search for the meat of the word of God to move from milk to meat.”

                • I personally really value the work of Bible translation in general and the fact that various translators do a great job in bringing the ancient text to make meaning in our different cultural and linguistic contexts. Having Bibles throughout the translation spectrum has proven to be a great practice.

                    • The Bible is such a rich, life-giving piece of literature. Our study of it must be intentional and consistent. What better way to understand the Bible than to first understand its structure and how it is all put together? Great summary, @Joe

                        Chapter One: Introducing the bible
