Lesson 25: Faithfulness
Faith is that ingredient that makes a man sing praises even while he is going through dryness, challenges, affliction or even when he falls down and just wipes the dust and continue on his journey.
Apostle paul took a longer time to plant a church in corinth more than anywhere else.He invested so much just to convert these peole.Yet the people were very unappreciative and this often made him to defend himself in their presence because they constantly judged him..2 Co 12:15.2 Ti 4:16-17. They listened to his preached, watch his life to see his weaknesses and then judged him.Tgey totally refused to appreciate the goid he was doing.
They didn’t like his preaching because it was simple, it lack a display of intellectual wisdom and human wisdom that they were accustomed to there in corinth.1 Co 2:1-5
Others didn’t like the fact that his style was non flashy, he lacked all the oratory skills that were so highly esteemed by the population there in Corinth.2 Co 10:10. Many didn’t like the fact that he preached against sin and carnality.
Paul preached intentional messages but the listeners wanted a dynamic preacher yet apostle Paul remained faithful because:
He didn’t care about the critics and judgement passed against him. 1 Co 4:3 we should not let unjust criticism drive us out of our mission field. Apostle Paul never abandoned because he was certain of the divine instructions he received.
Aldo Apostle Paul refused to judge himself which wasn’t good 1 Co 4:3-4 1Co 11:31.We are called to examine ourselves concerning sin and holiness. Apostle Paul entrusted all judgement to the Lord, because only the Lod knows the whole subject.
Paul reminded himself that, he was a servant and in 1 Co 4:1, he says that he needed to be a servant where the lord had placed him.Thr humble apostle called himself an under rower 1 Co 4:1.
Paul considered himself to be a steward of the mysteries of God and was committed to being faithful to where God had placed him as steward
Paul stayed conscious of the Lord return.1 Co 4:5.The realization that one day, all if this will end up in real heaven kept him moving no matter the affliction. 2 Ti 4:5-8. We live for eternity. Paul was confident that at the end, he woll get his reward.1 Co 4:5

Great!! Challenges are the testers of our faithfulness. There is nothing that prove a man’s faithfulness like when they are face with the chance to compromise!!
