Amen and greetings in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

I have come to understand that with regards to the bible, some versions are translated and some are paraphrased in order to make understanding easier. In order to express the nuances of another language, additional words have to be inserted only when necessary. For me, it raised a couple of questions.

Taking the provided scripture Isaiah 28v9. In the KJV, the last part consists of direct statements which are answers to the question asked in the beginning of the verse – “them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.”this is a clear answer as to who will be taught knowledge and who shall understand doctrine. However in the NKJV when it was translated, the last part is presented as questions – “Those just weaned from milk?Those just drawn from the breasts?” This presents the text as further questions and leaves the initial question asked without an answer.

This for me then raises the question why were question marks added to the translation? This outlines the importance of having different references in order to get an understanding of the scripture.

I also learned that essentially, everyone that reads the word is required to grow from milk to meat. And this cannot be done without the Holy Spirit and obedience to God’s word. I also received the understanding that staying at a milk level, hinders one from growing spiritually.
