Greetings saints , this is what I understood during the second part of the lesson on predestination under soteriology .

Dr David began by explaining the role of human responsibility in Salvation. As an example he used an incidence where he wanted to go out to drive in his car but His wife told him that he must be careful because it was rainy and foggy up the mountain .

I found the example profound, because in today’s church, we christians have neglected our responsibility in Salvation and have given heed to the flesh for it to lead us astray.

Here are the five areas of human responsibility:

God created man with the ability to reason and a

desire to understand Him.

2) Man is responsible to God’s revelation of Himself in

creation.

3) Man is created in the image of God and has a

limited ability to make choices.

4) Man has the responsibility to adhere to what the

Bible teaches and his conscience dictates.

5) Man does not have the right to question God’s

authority or His plans.

The difference between human beings and animals is this, animals can only act in response to the stimulus of their environment, they cannot think ahead of it but human beings have a desire to know more , reason and think ahead.

The second responsibility of human beings is the Revelation of God in the creation. The creation as according to Romans chapter 1 , shows the attributes of God.When a baby dies he or she goes to heaven 2 Samuel 12 verse 23.

Even without a preacher the human heart has a consciousness which gives him rules for what is right and wrong. The lecturer went on to give us an example of how the Gospel was received by those in Central African republic. They already knew God because of his Glory which is declared by the creation though they didn’t know the Gospel.

The creation shows us that God is bigger than us , and that he existed before it , if we live up to that light , God gives us more light but if we rebel we have no excuse.

We are made in God’s likeness.as according to Genesis chapter 1 . Joshua was instructed by God not to turn to the right or to the left.” Revelation 22:18 puts it another way, “Don’t add or take away.” We must not add or subtract from God’s principles, it’s our responsibility.

We don’t have a right to question God on his ways as according to Romans 9 verse 20.

Predestination is a doctrine of conformity to the image of His Son as according to Romans 8 verse 23.
