Different aspects of the costs of spiritual leadership are:

Chapter 12: SUCCESS PRINCIPLES.
In God’s kingdom, success is the maximum use of one’s gifts and abilities within the range of responsibilities given by God. You are successful when you properly use your spiritual resources for the work of God. The world views success materially, God views it spiritually. The… Read more-
I particularly love the idea of success as the appropriate/maximum use of God-given abilities to fulfill God’s purposes. It is not always about what we achieve, but about whether we have been faithful in doing the Lord’s will.

ART OF BIBLICAL WORDS
SESSION 5From this session, I learned that each biblical author has a unique style, emphasis, and theological focus, so words can carry slightly different nuances depending on who is writing. It’s not enough to know the dictionary definition or general semantic range of a word, we have to study how that specific author uses…

Great reflection. Dictionary definitions of words do not always show how the word is used in specific contexts. We must understand how a word is used in order to know which meaning is intended by the author.

ART OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
SESSION 4From this session, I learned that most biblical words don’t have just one fixed meaning, they carry a semantic range that changes depending on context. Words like “faith” (pistis) or “righteousness” can mean different things in different passages, so it’s not enough to memorize a single definition. For example,…

A semantic range of meaning, yes its very important to observe

That’s right! Context is king. My OT/NT exegesis lecturer told us repeatedly to make context our best friend in Bible interpretation. Many have genuinely taught wrongly because they neglected context.

Chapter 11: FACING FAILURE.
God has perfect plans, but He works with imperfect leaders to accomplish His plans. Because you are imperfect, you must understand the reasons for failure and know what to do when you fail. The basic reasons for failure are failure in relationship, failure by commission and failure… Read more-
Thank you for the reflection, Brother David! God is looking at what we will do next. It is always a blessing to live daily by doing the next right thing. Repentance and the hope of restoration are great gifts for us. We fail every day in the smallest and sometimes the biggest ways, but God’s arms remain ever open to receive us back in love.

Chapter 10: TRAINING LEADERS AND FOLLOWERS.
Leaders must have followers and followers must have leaders. The training of leaders and followers should begin in childhood preparing youngsters to take their part in the body of Christ. Training should immediately follow conversion at any age. God gives to some… Read more-
I agree with you that all believers should have leadership training of some sort. I have personally observed that even the most inexperienced in church often find themselves leading in some way unexpectedly.

Chapter 9: CONFLICTS AND DISCIPLINE.
Discipline is correction of those who are wrong. A conflict is a fight or quarrel. A good leader must provide correction and be able to solve problems between his followers. People can disagree without having conflict, but conflict often results from disagreements. It is… Read more-
Conflict transformation is a skill every minister must possess. In the church, this is a difficult thing to do, especially when the conflicting parties seem to not see anything wrong. While conflict often leads to negative consequences, it can be a valuable tool to assess the health of the church if managed properly.

PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY
MODULE 3This lesson helped me understand something I’d never really grasped before about the Bible’s big picture. The whole storyline isn’t just a collection of random stories ,there’s this consistent rhythm running through everything: blessings and curses, faithfulness and consequences.
What struck me most is that God’s…

PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY
MODULE 2This lesson captures something I think we often miss about the Creation story: it’s a vivid portrait of God’s character and intentions that ripple through all of Scripture. The opening image of a child experiencing a perfect spring day really struck me because it connects us emotionally to what Eden was meant…
