• Chapter 8:

      Questionable Practices

This chapter offer a comprehensive biblical framework for navigating moral choices in areas where Scripture is not explicit. It provides criteria for decision-making, emphasizing that actions must glorify God, stem from proper motives, be expedient rather than merely lawful, and promote spiritual growth rather than hindrance. Believers are warned against becoming enslaved by habits, falling into temptation that leads to sin, and advises abstaining from even the appearance of evil. It stresses the importance of communal responsibility, urging “stronger” believers to limit their personal liberty out of love to ensure they do not cause “weaker” brethrens with different consciences to stumble. We should prioritize peace and mutual edification . It gives a structured, scripturally based three-step process for handling conflict and church discipline, from private confrontation to involving the entire church community if necessary. Thus starts with trying to make peace individually, asking one or more person which could be a church elder or leaders in the church be a witness as you try to solve the problem with the person involved. If you still don’t agree then you involve the whole church but you don’t do it during worship service .It should be done diligently.
