CHAPTER 3
VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE
In this chapter I have been able to learn about the different languages in which the Bible was originally written, types of the versions of the Bible and I’m also able to enlist the different versions of the Bible.
The Bible was ordinary written in three languages; Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.
The Bible was later translated into different languages from the original languages, leading to versions.
There are two types of versions of the Bible;
Translations- are word by word translations from the original languages
Paraphrase-thought by thought translations from the original languages
Some of the examples of versions of the Bible are; King James Version, New King James Version, Revised Standard Version and the Living Bible .
Brain Mbuli and Nfor John Njilah1 Comment-
Knowing the original languages the Bible was given to us in helps us to appreciate the people who worked tirelessly to translate the Bible into a language we can understand.
