Lesso 2: REQUIREMENTS FOR MINISTRY

A minister is a servant and should serve others as our master Jesus Christ illustrated in John 12:12

To be a good minister you must live what you preach, be an example of what you are saying.matt 16:18

As a minister you need to submit to God and walk with him so he builds the church. Don’t lead God.

The church’s main responsibility is to raise matured christians so we can say that the church lives for the church. Its only a matured church that can multiply effectively. Eph 4:12

A minister also has to be very inconsistent with his messages. Vary the source of your messages so you raise them from drinking milk to chewing bones.Feed the sheep of God yo maturity.

God has give various gifts to his servants to help in the nourishment of the church and that’s why we have some as evangelists, prophets, pastors, teachers, and apostles.So ministers should concentrate on raising matured Christians.

To be effective you need to have a strong biblical base so as to reach the word of God effectively.

Ministers should ficus in giving than receiving for in so doing, they will be rewarded with a heavenly provision from God.Heb 6:1-3

Note that the acts 2:42 church remains our model:

They followed the apostles doctrine, they had fellowship, they broke bread and prayed together.

Therefore ministers should follow scriptural patterns.
