Lesson 8: What is Revival?

Revival is a situation that brings back a spiritually dead person yo live through the preaching of the word of God. When revival happens there’s great rejoicing, people’s zeal is restored, there’s a readiness to serve.This is what happened in Jerusalem after Nehemiah had finished rebuilding the walks if Jerusalem. Neh 8:9

His absence for a year reintroduced back sliding in the land till the high priest even lodged Tobias one of the revels in the temple. This is evidence that sometimes we can experience false revival revealed in religious excitement. We nust work to bring out lasting fruits in the sheep. John 15:16

As a leader its important to study to see why there’s religiosity in the church because unless its dealt with, there wont be revival. In Nehemiah days, the people intermarried the wrong race , today in our churches, we have muxed multitudes who spread false rumours, scandal and Rebellion they are critics, grumblers and cause the faith of serious christians to wane. These people easily break church Covenant. A disordered environment chases out the presence of God and thus no revival. Neh 13:7-8,Neh 13:10

Leaders should be strong enough to face these challenges and restore the glory of God to the temple like Nehemiah did. Neh 13:15, 13:16-17, 19

If God has made you a leader in your community take care of the sheep of God, don’t neglect them because distance has a way of introducing weeds in your farms.Teach them the truth let them walk in it.
