Lesson 10: Self – Promotion in Ministry

Ministers have the temptation to make it big, have a big ministry with thousands of members,a temptation for more publicity and more money but unfortunately, the more the temptation, the bigger the fall just as it happened with Adam and Eve nany years ago. Isa 14:14.

Sometimes this desire for self glorification comes as a result of competition and jealousy as was the case of Kirah and moses in Numbers 16:1-2.

To know if you are self promoting or walking in anointed authority and ministry, look at your attitude towards competition: are you reactive or responsive? Ep 6:12 when you are fighting against people you are fighting against the wrong battle Num 16:5-9

You are called to minister to the Lord nit to stand before people, your responsibility is to shepherd the sheep no matter the size.

Be contented where ever you are, don’t desire certain circles because they also go with challenges. Joseph’d coat of many colours almost killed him. Every glory has its challenges.

The coat you wear in ministry can attract all kinds of people so watch out. Joseph’s coat attracted an adulterer. Many men of God have been ruined by strange women and men😁. So take precautions during counseling for example. Let me counsel men and women , women. That will reduce the rate of temptation.
