Lessons 1 - Predestination 1 (The doctrine of Salvation).
The will of God for mankind is that all men be saved through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16). Understanding God therefore means understanding the true doctrine of salvation from Biblical perspective and not from human thinking or ideology. For the Bible says, “Your thoughts are not my thoughts”. So salvation is God’s idea and divine will and not the will of man. One key lesson I have learnt from the script is that, I must be a student and follower of the Bible and not a follower of theologians when it comes to finding doctrinal answers. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:11, that no one knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of that man; therefore no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. In understanding any topic or concept including salvation, the Bible must be the book to resort to. Salvation is not an afterthought but God foreknew even before the foundations of the earth. Even before creation, you and I were included in God’s plans.

This is very profound that “I must be a student and follower of the Bible and not a follower of theologians when it comes to finding doctrinal answers.”
