Lesson 19: Mary and Martha

Mary and martha are sisters with different values and character traits that we need to study. Luke 10:38-42, John 11

Mary is that sister who choses ger position if worship at the masters feet and three times consecutively, she is seen at this position: when she pours perfume at the masters feet, John 12, Mary falls at Jesus feet and weeps, John 11:32, and Mary sirs at Jesus feet to listen to him talk Luke 19:39.

Mary could be said to be an evangelist because the crowd around her and who saw Lazarus came to life believed in Jesus Christ. We are to emulate Mary’s character. The word of God says we should seek the Kingdom of Fod and huts righteousness and everything will be added to us. We need to sit at the masters feet, learn from him daily so we keep revitalizing iyr sourit.

Next we learn about Martha the busy body sister. John 11.

Shes that servant who is busy looking for foud and drinks to entertain the master. Shes the first to welcome him unto their home in spite if the rusk of being excommunicated from ger community. Shes the one who even prophesies that that she believes that Jesus can do anything. Yet when mary sits at Jesus feet to learn she complains. What we learn from thus lady is that:

Service is voluntary and shouldn’t be competitive, secondly, other worshipping God are goid but the vest is at the feet of Jesys.we slso learn that complaining about others attitude isn’t what we are called fir, lets nit worry about too much.
