Lesson 21 : Exhortation to Maturity , Part 2.
Those who walk in the flesh conduct themselves in the flesh and their carnal minds don’t submit to God. If you occupy yourself with fleshy thoughts and actions, that’s what you will grow. But if you nourish your spirit with the word of God , you will be revived and delivered from the flesh.
Mote that a carnal christian is born again, regenerated, has received the new nature and the spirit of God has bern quickened in his newness of life. He has been endowed with the gifts of the Holy spirit but somewhere along the line, this christian begins to get mixes up with the things of the world. Carnal christians are dull and are not excited by anything on the church, they hate to read the bible, hate to ho to church, they are critical and are fretful. They begin to trust more in the flesh than in the spirit.
When you become a christian, the body and the flesh let go and the spirit takes over. The spirit of God controls our passions, He controls you. Gal 5:22
If he finds himself in a compromising situation, he feels guilty because the spirit of God will always convicts him of sin..

Great job! You have thoughtfully and insightfully explained carnality in the Christian life, effectively highlighting the contrast between living in the flesh and walking in the Spirit.

The Bible is very straightforward in its approach to this subject. I like the way it puts it:
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Roman’s 8:6
A very powerful verse of scripture for all Christians to take seriously.
-
Spirit of almighty quicken me and help me overcome the desires of the flesh and manifest daily my newness in Christ Jesus.
-
Carnality and the flesh are things that seeks to put us down everyday. Our imagination and thinking are so canal… The bible says we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Nuturing our self daily in the words is the perquisites of overcoming ..
