Lesson 23: The Joy of Servanthood
Apostle Paul wrote the book of Philippians introducing Timothy who was saved under hid Ministry .He didn’t present himself as apostle because he was used to the people so he presents himself ad a bind servant who was motivated by live fir his master whom he made a commitment to serve voluntarily for life.
Paul indicates that contrary to what the catholic church does, calling death people saints, a saint is a person who has surrendered to a walking relationship with Gid- a born again Christian. Phil 1:1
paul also uses words like grace ( karis) and Shalom ( peace)as values that he lived to have and of course we should desire.
Damian talks of having a close relationship with his workers such that when some if them died he really used them. We should cultivate this too just as Apostle Pail dud in Phil 1:3
A thankful spirit for services rendered is mentioned and fir the fellowship Paul had with his Christians.
He encouraged the christians yo remain firm in their work dor Gid qas going to complete the work that he has started in their lives.
He declares his live for the flock and encourage them to work for those who wont work wont eat too.jHe encouraged them to strife for excellence and to.live without hypocrisy. Phil 1:10
