Lesson 27:An Abiding Relationship with Christ

The grape fruit with its many branches was a symbol in Israel stamped on coins, carved on their synagogues and even on temple doors in Jerusalem.it was familiar with every jew and reveals what God had in mind for the nation.But Israel failed to bring forth both the quantity and the quality of the fruit that God was desiring through them and so he set them aside.

So Jesus used it as an illustration if the relationship that Israel was to have with God., you are branches and he the vine John 15:4-5.

This is the secret to a fruitful life, staying connected to Christ

Jesus asks us to bear fruits: the frits are his life, attributes, his character which will flow from us just as the sap flows from the vine.so fruits are christ manifested in us, personal godliness, loving people, holiness,John 8:29,humility,,grace.Bearing fruits is doing goid works; making disciples , we need to impact people’s lives.John 15:4-5

By abiding in him, Jesus is saying we should make out home in him. To keep up a habit of constant close communion with him.to always lean on him,making our fountain and strength ,our chief companion and our best friend.

There’s a danger of living ministry more than God. God wants to you his word to speak to his people

Your fruits will increase by purging and pruning. In our personal lives God cuts us back at times. He allows some sort of catastrophic thing to come upon us. He allows us to go through difficulties just to bring us to a place of abundance.In ministries it also cuts things back. God will make things difficult till you take the eight move.
