Lesson 30: Prayer and the word

Prayer is talking to God and the ministry of the word is letting God speak to us and helping others through the word hear from him.

The early apostles had to relinquish, the care of widows to other saints and then focus on prayer and preaching the word of God.Its very easy to become distracted and have the important things eclipse the essential things, and that is disastrous in the kingdom if God producing a lack of true spiritual productivity.

As church leaders we should devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word because that’s where God reveals himself and displays his life and power.

The basic responsibility of all shepherds is to be close to the goid shepherd so as to remain close to the spring of life and wisdom.

It takes going through the word to get our prophetic calendar and some kind of accuracy, so we xan walk in light of it. It takes some prayer to get light on it.It takes some more prayers to go past the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.Hes coming black and then our citizenship will be made complete.

Before you engage in the word, ask God to open your eyes and you can better understand it , you can behold wonderful things.prsyers will help the word of God to be established in your hearts, , it will help our hearts to be inclined to the word.prayer and the word go together like love and marriage.

The word of God on the other hand affects the way we pray because the word of God reveals God’s will.Its the will if Gid that we open our mouths and preach his word but we need to pray for grace to do that .That’s why the early church leaders devoted themselves to both prayer and the word.
