Lesson 31: keep a pure heart

God wants to work with his people yo manifest his glory. He wants to move by His spirit amongst the people. Byt unfortunately, when the spirit if Gid begins to move and the hearts and the lives if people are being touched by God, there are certain people with spiritual sensitivity.And because there’s an excitement and an emotion if the moment, because Gids moving ,they don’t have enough spiritual discernment to just let God move.

In the book of Leviticus 10:1-3 two young men, Nadab and Abihu burnt a strange fire in the altar if God and it killed them. When we decide to go our own way, trying to steal Gids glory, we will be destroyed. We serve a jealous God who wont share his glory with aby man.Our goid works in ministry should glorify God not us!. Jesus exhorted ys to be careful not to be righteous before men just to ve seen by them. Matt 6:1

God is interested in how you’re serving him and why you’re serving him. Gods looking at your heart Beware when the spirit of God starts moving so as not to become vain and lose Gids glory . Note that the Holy Spirit came to magnify or exalt Jesus and to testify about him so as to draw men to him . Therefore in the exercise of your gifts, don’t draw attention to yourself. Make sure it brings the worship and the praise unto the Lord with the whole flow of the spirit.

Lets beware of fire kindled by our emotions. God wants to work but has the difficulty working because it is hard to get a group of people who will stay in the flow if the spirit.

Talking about taking wine, you can’t come before God drunk , what ever wine is to you, stay out of it as you come before God. 1 Ti 3:3. You can’t be a church leader and dwell on wine.Gods not interested in service that comes from false motivation and false stimulants. He wants us to serve him from a pure heart of love . 2 Co 5:14.

We should never give to God out of constraint, pressure but wilfully. 2 co 9:7 God doesn’t want false fire and refuses to accept it so don’t oblige people to serve God, let them do so voluntarily.

Note that we get in the way of God when we try to do it by our flesh.But God woll still accomplish his work.Lets wait on God and ask the holy spirit to search our hearts, revealing unto ys that which we don’t even know about us. Put aside from your thoughts your own unworthiness in order to receive the blessing .Belief and expect God to bless you now with a new anointing of his holy spirit upon your life just because God loves you.

God has called all of us to ministry 1 co 11:1, unfortunately we have divided it.we must know that we are the body of Christ and each part has specific functions all for the benefit of the body. So we must remain united.

Paul points out some facts about ministry: its is serving the Lord with humility phil 2:3, with many tears, acts 20:19, with temptations acts 20:19, holding back nothing, acts 20:20, showing unto you acts 20:20, i have taught you acts 20:20, he didn’t count his life dear to himself acts 20:24, yes he didn’t count his life dear. All these facts paul brings out are the real base to dwelling with God in ministry .
