God’s Word in counseling is the ultimate authority and source of truth for understanding and guidance for transformation in the life of every believer in Christ. It is the foundation for faith and the standard by which a believer’s thoughts, beliefs, and actions are measured. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God’s Word brings lasting change in lives of believers in Christ. Counselors rely on the Bible to understand and offer solutions rooted in God’s principles because there’s sufficiency in Scripture in helping individuals be conformed to the image of Christ, experiencing redemptive transformation through interaction with God’s Word.
