Principles of interpretation

The word rightly dividing the word means cut straight.It means understanding the word and knowing it is meant for who.In tha old testament a sacrifice was divided into 3 parts one to God ,one to the person offering it and one to the priest .We should interpret and apply the word correctly.We should give the word a proper meaning.To rightly divide the word we should use the following rules

1)The rule of divine authority

2)The rule of literal interpretation

3)The rule of contextual consideration

4)The rule of first mention

5)The rule of repetition

6)The rule of cumulative revelation
