• POWER PRINCIPLES.
Chapter 8: POWER PRINCIPLE TWO: THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
The power of the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit are two key principles in understanding the Biblical concept of power and experiencing both is necessary to receive spiritual power. Power is a spirit and the spirit of power is the Holy Spirit. The works of the Holy Spirit in man’s life are: dwells in him, guides him, imparts the love of Christ to him and through him, reveals Biblical truth to him. Comforts him, comforms him to the image of Christ, teaches him, inspires him to true worship, quickens him, sanctifies him, changes him, convicts him of wrong, gives assurance of salvation, gives him liberty, speaks through him, demonstrates God’s power and strengthens him. The greatest purpose for the power of the Holy Spirit is to be witnesses. The true evidence of baptism of the Holy Spirit is spiritual power. This experience can be accompanied by a physical sign like speaking in languages other than their native tongue. The tongues can also be languages not known to man and are for praying to God. When interpreted, they edify the church and brings intercession, praise, fulfilment of prophecy and sign to unbeliever. Gifts of the Holy Spirit are not the same as natural talents. Natural talents and gifts are given at the time of physical birth and/or developed by natural efforts. They may also be used in the ministry but not the same as the spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts are powerful abilities given by the Holy Spirit to enable the task of the ministry. They are God -given abilities. God desires that all the fruit be evident in your life. To receive these endument of power, receive the baptism of Holy Spirit, repent and be baptized, believe it is for you, desire it, realize it is a gift, yield to God and request the prayers of other believers.
