CHAPTER ONE

KNOWING THE VOICE OF GOD

The title of this course “knowing God’s voice” implies several things. First : that there is a God, second: that he communicates with man, third : that man can recognise his voice when he speaks, fourth: that God has something to say.

Many voices: 1. The voice of man, 2. The voice of satan, 3. The voice of self, 4: the voice of God.

Hearing the voice of God; God communicated his will to mankind, he gave specific instructions to adam and eve, most important of all they were to maintain intimate fellowship with God.

The voice and the will of God, when we say we want to know the will of God it means we want to know his general plan for our lives.

When God speaks, there are two Greek words translated as word, in the bible, words are lagos and rhema, rhema word from God usually applies to a specific situation, lagos refers to the written word of God.
