Chapter 11: POWER PRINCIPLE FIVE.: POWER, FAITH AND WORKS.
Faith is man’s response to God’s power and it means to believe and have assurance of something. It gives assurance that things promised in the future are true and that unseen things are real. Spiritual power must operate in faith in order to work the works of God. Faith is not the same as “mind over matter”. Mind over matter teachings are man centred and not based on the word of God. Faith is God centred. Biblical types of faith are saving faith, sanctifying faith, defensive faith, the gifts of faith and the fruits of faith. Levels of faith are faithless, little faith and great faith. Each person has a certain amount of faith given to him as a gift from God. Faith is increased by hearing the word of God, being sanctified and living righteously. To experience and demonstrate power, you must have faith. Faith and power to be effective, they must be demonstrated by works.
