HEADING THE WRONG DIRECTION

It is just as important to know how not to do something as it is to know how to do it. These are the ways you should not seek guidance: 1. Occult: it includes any form of supernatural involvement which is not of God, such practices are motivated by satan, 2. Methods of chance, this was one of the method of seeking guidance in the old testament. 3. Fleeces, it was used to determine God’s will (judges 6:36-40), 4. False prophets, they don’t confess the deity of Jesus Christ (1john 4:1-3), they teach false doctrine, lead people away from obedience to God’s word, deut 13:1-5, they deceive people with miraculous signs, mathew 24:11-21, they make false claims mathew 24:23-24, there fruit reveals their error, 5.wrong counsel, when you recieve counsel from another person that guidance should be tested against other methods of determining God’s will. 6. Emulations, it is listed as one of the works of the flesh galatians 5;20, it is the desire to copy others and to equal or excel them.
