• Greetings saints of the most High, This is what Ilearnt during the First part of predestination . The lesson was based on the Book of Romans ( also known as the magna Carta or constitution of Christianity . In chapter 8 , the key word is the key word is the holy spirit, I. Chapter 7 it’s person and In In chapter 6 it’s sin

“We have predestination, calling, justification and glorification. That’s Paul’s little neat outline on the doctrine of salvation” , said the lecturer.

I also learnt that God predetermined to save us , He predestined us to His call for God works . He did this before the foundation of the world, before we were born he already knew us. I also learnt the concept of election differentiating the concept of being chosen from being called.

We cannot talk about salvation without looking at the saviour, Jesus Christ. There are two main views of salvation which were discussed in the lesson. These are Calvinism and Arminian view of which the lesson discussion was equal sided.

The Calvinist view can be memorized using the word Tulip , Where :

T stands total depravity, that’s to say no one can save himself

U stands for unconditional election , meaning that God chooses his Elect without considering any of their capabilities.

      L stands for Limited atonement

      I stands for irresistable grace

P stands for Perseverance of the saints( also known as the doctrine of eternal security)

The most wonderful moment during the session was the part which elaborated that God chose us saying:

When God chose you, the Greek put the word in middle voice. Meaning He did it in and of Himself. There was no cause in you that caused Him to choose you.
