Chapter 5: Leading like a servant
The greatest example of leading like a servant was the Lord Jesus Christ. A servant is one who serves others in humility, dedication and love. We are to continue in this pattern to be servants of those whom we lead. The power of servanthood is that it humbles a person to the point that he can be used of God.
-Secular leaders have dominion over their followers.
-Secular leaders exercise authority over followers.
-Secular leaders are chief over their followers.
-Secular leaders are lords over those they lead.
-As servant leaders, we serve the body of Christ.
To become a servant leader, develop the proper attitude, humble yourself, identify with mankind, be obedient, die to sin and self, serve in love and let God be in charge.
