PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY
MODULE 5
One key lesson I learned from this section is the deep connection between Creation and Heaven and how both are central to the biblical narrative. The teaching emphasizes that Creation is not an accident or a temporary stage but part of God’s eternal purpose. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible presents a big picture where everything begins with Creation, finds its hinge in Christ, and culminates in the new Creation. It shows that the story of the world is not about escaping material reality but about its restoration and transformation.
What struck me most is how Christ is presented as the central figure who unites Heaven and Earth. His resurrection is not just about personal salvation but confirms the eternal significance of material reality. In Christ, the divine and human come together, and in the end, Heaven and Earth will also come together in a renewed form. This vision challenges the common idea that Heaven is a distant spiritual place while Earth is something to abandon. Instead, God’s plan is to elevate and transfigure His Creation so that it becomes a sacred space filled with His presence.
I also learned that the beauty we experience in this life like waterfalls, clear blue waters, and nature’s wonders are just glimpses of what is to come. Ultimately, this lesson calls me to see Creation as good and purposeful and to live as a steward who values and cultivates it. It also gives hope that our future is not disembodied but embodied in a renewed world where God dwells with His people forever. This truth changes how I see life, nature, and even my role in God’s mission today.
David Mapugilo and Brain Mbuli-
Imagine that the beauty we experience in this life like waterfalls, clear blue waters, and nature’s wonders are just glimpses of what is to come and that Human destiny is not just about living in a renewed land but about the beatific vision seeing God face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12). What a wonderful lesson.
