MODULE 2: SESSION 12: Garden Imagery in the Ancient Near East

The garden of Eden represents the space where Heaven and Earth overlap. It is the dynamism that reminds us in positioning of God’s place of dwelling in connection to human beings. Garden imagery is also used in other ancient Near Eastern iconography to represent divine space, similar to but also different from the biblical concept.
