Old Testament survey.

Chapter 1: Introducing the Bible.

2Timothy 3:16-17.

I have learned many things from this chapter….

The Bible means books.

The word scriptures means God’s word. This word comes from Latin which means writing(sacred writings of the one true God. With a capital S).

The Bible is divided into two major sections called the old and the new Testament. Testament means covenant. Old Testament records God’s original covenant with man while the new Testament records the new covenant made by God through his son Jesus christ.

The subject of this two agreements is that they both concerns restoring sinful men to right relationship with God.
