CHAPTER 6: THE CHURCH IN THE WORLD.
In this lesson, I learned that the Great Commission began with God Himself by sending His only son Jesus Christ to the earth for the sinful man. Church means The Body of Christ, Believers, Called Out Ones. I learned a wide range in the nature of the church – Household of God, A Royal Priesthood, The Bride of Christ, Temple of God, The Church of the Saints among others. It was clear that the purpose of the church is Worship, Fellowship and Ministry to human need.
I learned that Philip was a cross-cultural missioner, Paul and Barnabas were called in cross-cultural evangelism.
