PRAYER IN COUNSELING
Prayer in counseling “God’s Way” involves praying with the Word of God because God counsels us by His Word. The Word of God is important in the life of a counselee and a counselor. This is because It’s through a humble praying heart that the Word of God goes to work, through the Holy Spirit who guides , teach, empower, counsels, helps us to counsel others and sustains. Praying about the Word helps us know the will of God through the holy Spirit who also revive and Strengthens the counselor/counselee. Every aspect of our lives permeated by the knowing of God’s will.

We must pray as we counsel, and what better way to pray than to pray the word of God! The word of God is the ultimate counsel, and we must understand God’s will in order to help the counselee.
