Using the Model Prayer to Intercede

The Lord’s Prayer is a model for intercession, highlighting two versions (Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4) This is the Lord’s prayer

The version in Matthew 6:9-13 was taught during the Sermon on the Mount.

The version in Luke 11:2-4 was taught to the disciples when they asked Jesus how to pray after seeing Him pray.

Purpose of the Model Prayer:Jesus used it as an example of how to pray, providing a complete outline of prayer topics rather than a strict set of words to be recited verbatim.This prayer provides a sovereignity of who God is talking about His kingdom.It also helps to pray for ourselves and others as it uses words as “Our Father”,”Give us”,our debts and others
