HEAVEN AND EARTH
MODULE 4: SESSION 18: The Dry Land
The biblical authors portrayed the dry land as a disc surrounded by and resting on the waters. It is set up on pillars that God upholds by his power. It is always under the narrative that its foundations are in the waters and waters referred to as the demarcation or its boundaries. The In some versions like the King James it is often referred that it is in circle/horizon and it held by the pillars underneath. Naturally the connotation is neutral based on the readers standpoint as per variations in texts where other texts depicts that the earth is in corners etc. The dry land often symbolizes salvation, most notably in Genesis 1 and the Exodus narrative.
