MODULE 4: SEASON 21: Jesus and Living Water

Throughout the Gospel of John, Jesus is consistently revealed as the true and inexhaustible source of life. John presents him as the Word made flesh who “tabernacled” among humanity (John 1:14), the very dwelling place of God. He is also identified as the true temple (John 2:21), the meeting point of heaven and earth where God’s presence abides. Later, Jesus describes himself as the fountain of living water, like a life-giving garden from which rivers of refreshment flow (John 7:37). All these images echo and surpass the garden of Eden, pointing to a deeper reality: the life that once flowed in creation now flows from Christ himself. When Jesus is “lifted up,” he embodies the tree of life, inviting all to receive eternal fellowship with God. In John’s vision, the ancient promise of Eden reaches fulfillment in Jesus, the ever-present source of true, unending life.
