Lesson 15: The place of Repentance

If there will be genuine forgiveness, genuine repentance must proceed. 1 Corinthians 7:9-11.

For you to be converted, repentance must come first. I mean that restoration comes when you have genuinely repented and this will cause you to seek change and transformation.

Genuine repentance comes with grieving, of your soul. No true change comes without grieve, tears and sorrow over the many errors done in the past . It begins when you are convicted if the sin, then you lose your peace iver it and then painfully travail towards forgiveness. Acts 20:21.

Repentance is also a gift of God. Acts 5:31. If you seek it, you will receive. I John 1:9. 2 Timothy 2:25

Repentance has the following characteristics:

– respond to sinful situations as quickly as possible

-React sincerely and seek forgiveness

-Realize the pain that you’ve caused others.

– Remember with fear the consequences of continuing in sin.

– Recognize that repentance is a priority for your kufe.

– Resolve to settle the matter in every way possible.

– Restore what ever possible and accept the consequences.
