Lesson 22: The work of salvation

The work of salvation can be presented in four major parts:

Foreknowledge which involves God knowing us before we were born and giving us a purpose and an election of priesthood . This means he predestined us, called us , and drew us to himself after we’ve been convicted of our position in Christ. Romans 8:29-31, Jeremiah 1:5

The second is Human response, God calls, us and we sinners answer by confessing our sins, repenting from sin and growing in faith by continually hearing the word of God. 1John 1:8,9

The third one is our position in Christ, salvation brings us to reconcile with Christ, ,then we’re redeemed from hell, adopted to become co-heirs with Christ then we develope fellowship with the master. The Holy Spirit then justified us,sanctifies us and glorifies us

Finally when talk of the work of salvation, we are indeed talking of the work of the Holy Spirit in regenerating us, transforming us from carnal to spirit filled Christians by indwelling us, Baptising us and sealing us.
