From the lessons 25-27 of the introduction to the Hebrew bible i have come to enjoy the lesson on the bible narrative analogy.
I have learned that narrative analogy is a story telling technique used by the biblical authors to give as comparisons and parallelism to an older story and a new one. Here the reader is prompted to connect two tales/stories and use the meaning of the original story to interpret the new one. This tells me that scripture interprets another scripture. Again from this i find that the bible is a unified and a continous story that can not be understood when texts are read and interpreted in isolation.
