• The Divine Christ – Session 3

My first takeaway is that i was greatly impacted by Paul’s reference to Jesus as Lord in a strong and personal way. I always know and knew Christians refers to Jesus as Lord, but I didn’t realized how significant this kind of title was for Paul. The evidence that Paul associates Jesus with such titles as worship, and to the title of Yahweh mostly used in the Old Testament really increased my understanding of how much the early believers and church believed Jesus as being divine and so much as Lord of all.

I love that fact that Paul mentioned that the believers must live their lives unto the Lord which is something has challenged me personally as it speaks to me not just to actually believe in Jesus during my personal prayers or when I attend church but also in my attitude of service to the Lord throughout my life.

I was further encouraged the Paul’s teaching on the return and coming back of the Lord which he calls the day of the Lord. Getting a deep explanation on the second coming of Christ and the resurrection gave hope and trust in a better future which further encouraged me to believe Him more and work out my salvation on a daily life.

Paul’s statement that those who die in Christ actually just sleep in Jesus made me realize that my journey in Christ including my faith and service are not just for me to survive in this present world but for the hope and anticipation for what awaits me after this life.
