• Creative bible study methods chapter 15

      Amen and greetings

This chapter taught me about “word study” – studying a specific word from a verse to understanding its meaning in the context of the verse I am reading and in the context of other passages in the bible that have the same word or similar word.

When studying a word, it must be in context so that it can be understood and the correct meaning can be derived from it. Using a concord bible and a word study bible really helps with understanding what a word means, where it originates and also how it is used in other parts of scripture. This will help me a lot in cases where i perhaps do not understand the meaning of the word in itself or the context it is used in.

The benefit of finding the word in other passages is the broadened understanding the that one can receive and the more accurate the interpretation of the passage can then be.

      Amen

Studying the Bible within the context is very important because it prevents misunderstanding of Bible verses. For example there’s a Bible verse; Romans 3:23, that I think is highly misinterpreted. With regard to your summary, using a concord Bible and word study helps with understanding scripture in a better way, and I can’t wait to learn how to use the two. Thanks.
