Chapter Nine: Studying the Bible by the Bible

In this chapter I learnt that God is the source of the word and that bible reaveals the history of the word, who wrote it, how long the word existed,and the eternal nature of God and word.

We learn how the word of God was written in many forms such as books,stones and scrolls.

The Bible teaches us that the word is inspired by God for doctrine,reproof,correction and instruction in righteousness .

The word is divided into two divisions which is milk( basic truths that are easily understood) and the meat of the word(deeper teachings of the word).

There are also many purposes of the word, such as purify,sanctify, giving hope,making wise,etc.

There are symptoms of the word like mirror,fire,hammer,rain etc.

We need to respond to the word of God by receive it in our hearts,doing it,and not forgetting it.

Our responsibility is to preach it, teach it, speak it to others and not to be ashamed of the word.

We are warned of persecution that comes with the word,to be killed,corruption of the word and using the word deceitfully, and of false teachers with lying words,enticing words and flattering words.
